What inspired you to start a blog?
I started my blog in 2012 with an idea of just wanting to share my reviews and opinions about things – at the time it was mainly beauty and fashion items. It was only a few years ago that I dabbled more into fashion and styling and wanting to create more editorial looking OOTDs.
Which social media platform is your favourite and why?
Instagram to fuel my creative side, I just love scrolling and taking photos. I follow a mixture of friends, influencers, brands and music so it’s everything I love on one platform really. I do love Twitter however, it’s my daily news source.
How do you feel about IGTV, is it a platform you will be using?
I’m not too keen on IGTV I must say. I go on Instagram to watch one minute videos not one hour videos. You’d just automatically think of YouTube if you’d wanted to sit down and watch a long video. I reckon it’s not going to be a big hit but who knows, they took a chance with Insta Stories and they totally blew Snapchat out of the water?!
What advice would you give for taking outfit photos?
If your outfit is more on the casual side, fiind a colourful background or just a backdrop that tickles your fancy and vice versa. When I was in Lisbon in June, I wore the simplest of outfits purely because of how hot it was, literally a nice top and denim skirt but I still loved how my outfit photos turned out just because I decided to feature more of Lisbon’s stunning scenery. Also, changing your angles are a super fun way to make your outfit photos interesting.
What do you hope to achieve with your blog before the end of this year?
I don’t know what I’d like to achieve by the end of the year, I may have some goals right now but by the end of summer they may be completely different.
