Niko Sadlowski (Blogosphere Member of the Month – March)

Every month, we select one member of the Blogosphere Community to be  celebrated through our blog, social media and newsletter.

Our #MemberOfTheMonth for March 2021 is… Niko Sadlowski from The Apparently.

What’s been your biggest achievement so far of running The Apparently?

As a blogger who is present on both British and Polish blogging scenes, I have managed to achieve more than 10k monthly visits but frankly, what I love the most about it, is the diversity of my audiences.

Being a content creator and a writer running The Apparently,  I would consider Stuart Cosgrove’s interest and kind words about my book –  “The A Word” – as my biggest achievement. That, and building an amazing network of friends in the blogosphere world.

Are there any skills or areas you’d like to improve on as a blogger and content creator in 2021?

I would love to work on my writing style and efficient scheduling of my content. I focus more on the quality of my audience than the quantity. Writing is my passion, and doing it in a second language is a real learning journey, so I am very pleased, that I can move forward with my writing skills.

What was your writing process like for The A Word, how did you get it published?

My first book “The A Word” is a summary of our journey as a family and the life-changing experience of a father who decided to chase his dream to help his son who, at the age of 3, was diagnosed with autism and developmental delay.

This is our real-life story, full of tears, joy and hope. I wanted to share our experience to help other parents with similar difficulties and to give them hope. After publishing my book in Poland, I wanted to go with it, worldwide.

My marvellous partner translated it and later got in touch with a great editor who used to work with The Herald. For some time, I could not find an agent nor a publisher, so I decided to publish my book through Amazon.

I think this is the best option available for writers like me. No costs and regular income without costs of storage and ordering large quantities at once. Each step is managed by Amazon KDP.

What brings you joy? How do you like to relax?

In my free time, I like to spend time with my kids, to explore amazing places in our DIY campervan. It was a project which we started at the beginning of a lockdown last year.

Now we own an old ford transit with storage, bed and amazing soul. We have called it “Rusty Yoda”. That’s what gives me joy, soon after my family and work. In October we managed to visit Lewis and Harris, which was an amazing experience.

How did you find out about Blogosphere and the Blogosphere Community? What would you like to see more of from Blogosphere in 2021?

came across Blogosphere and Blogosphere Community when I started my blog. I wanted to connect with other content creators to know what’s happening around blogging in the UK, and I found you guys.

After attending one of the online conferences, I fell in love. I love people and the Blogosphere community is a great bunch to be around. I love when people share their knowledge, offer support and take care of each other. A true sense of kind and loving community.
